The Christmas Party...2020 style

Posted on 26 November 2020 by Claire Summerfield

As the new tiers are announced and even small Christmas celebrations are unlikely to happen, we thought we’d share with you some of the best ideas we’ve seen for virtual Christmas parties!

First up…prepping for the event.

Just because you’re celebrating from your spare room/kitchen/bedroom, it doesn’t mean that you can’t dress to impress! (Even if it’s just from the waist up) Get your glad rags on, grab that Santa hat and dig out the bauble earrings.

Set the scene…tinsel, Christmas lights, candles, baubles...there are no limits! Channel your festive interior designer and release that creativity!

Then it’s onto the main event…The 2020 Christmas party that your team will never forget.

Virtual Secret Santa

Use an online Secret Santa generator to draw names – if you get this done in advance of the party everyone will have time to send a virtual gift that you can all open online at the party

Caterers

Arrange a takeaway or party platter to be delivered to your teams – a great chance to support local, small businesses too that will really value your support

Online cookery class

Why not take the catering plans to the next level and arrange a group cook along class, with the winner crowned best cook of the year

Live entertainment

Book a band or performer to do a private gig for you and your team virtually

Team karaoke

With the vino flowing this would guarantee a Christmas party that everyone will remember

Virtual awards

Whether you usually finish the year with awards or not...this is the perfect year to celebrate the awsomeness of your team with an oscars worthy award ceremony

Cocktail making

Book a cocktail making session for the team – all the ingredients are delivered and a virtual group lesson can be enjoyed by everyone

Murder Mystery

Mrs Peacock in the library! Everyone gets a character and back story. Dress to impress and bring your acting skills to the virtual screen.

There’s no doubt that festivities this year will be different… but with a little imagination your Christmas party can be one that everyone will always remember.
