Whilst there are never enough hours in the day (we’d love to be able to talk to and meet even more of you) these conversations help us build relationships, provide an opportunity for us to listen and support you but they also give us an over-arching view of what is going on in the market.

This is a fortunate position to be in.

We get to see the cautious confidence that is returning to the market and the opportunities for candidates and businesses that are on the horizon. We hear of the innovation, the ambition and the hard work that is happening to get the industry we all love back up and running. We also get to congratulate the candidates who’ve submitted hundreds of applications and are now excitedly planning their first day in a new job.

The job market is improving week on week. Roles being recruited directly are increasing, freelance budgets are coming back, new teams are being created in businesses who are innovating and roles are gradually moving back out to recruiters. Recruitment businesses are bringing the majority of their teams back and many are looking for new hires… a great indicator of the growing confidence in the jobs market.

It’s still undeniably tough going in the market and there will undoubtedly still be challenges ahead but the outlook is improving.
