Senior PR Manager in West Midlands

An outstanding professional services company who are known for their amazing culture, are looking to recruit an experienced Senior PR Manager into their fast growing communications team.

Working as part of an exceptional communications team, within this role you'll be responsible for developing and managing the PR, media relations and press office activities for a network of regional offices.

You'll work strategically and tactically to create, deliver and oversee proactive and reactive communications for the regions, creating high quality and engaging communications, and develop relationships with fee earners and internal stakeholders. Traveling across the country, to meet in person with the different offices and teams, to offer counsel and guidance around PR and media for their region. Focusing on the commercial opportunities and what each regional office should and shouldn't be doing from a PR and communications perspective. Building strong relationships with the senior stakeholders.

Day to day you'll be responsible for:

• creating and managing a media relations strategy
• leading the press office work for the region and developing commercial media opportunities
• proactive and reactive media management
• visiting and developing relationships with the teams across the regions.
• creating press releases, articles and thought leadership pieces
• creating social media content
• developing relationships with journalists and industry media specialists
• research, plan and manage media awards

You might be working inhouse currently but looking for a meatier role, where you will have more autonomy and gravitas. Or you might be working for a PR agency, at a Senior Account Manager or Account Director level, now looking to make the move inhouse, but not wanting to lose that variety and pace you love! Either way you must demonstrate:

• solid PR experience gained either agency side or inhouse (from any industry sector!)
• you have the experience and gravitas to build relationships with key senior stakeholders
• you have a commercial mindset, able to spot opportunities and give counsel and guidance
• exceptional writing skills and the ability to write engaging copy
• experience in working with journalists/media
• an ambitious and proactive approach
• the ability to develop and nurture relationships both internally and externally
• excellent time management/plate spinning skills!
• you are willing to do some travel to visit the regional offices across the country
